A fifteenth century coaching inn, The Crazy Bear Hotel is the oldest documented building in Beaconsfield. It has been meticulously restored and elaborately designed to provide dramatic architecture and uncompromised luxury.
Victorian Woodworks worked directly with the Crazy Bear group to specify floors that compliment their many leather interiors. Reception and restaurant areas saw the installation of hand-textured wide planks from the Nautilus Collection, whilst Sabrewing of The Empress Collection – an opulent burnt oak in a traditional Chantilly design – adorned private meeting and dining areas. The movement and texture was achieved from the hand-sanding of Victorian Woodworks’ skilled craftsmen.
Finally, the hunting lodge meeting room, with its mounted animal trophies and buffalo leather table was clad from floor to ceiling in Krater. This reclaimed oak plank from The Amphora Collection has a beautiful weathered open grain texture helping to define this venue as one of the most extravagant and quintessentially British hotels in the world.
