Italian design company best known for its luxury, prêt-à-porter clothing undertook a refurbishment of their UK flagship store in London’s exclusive New Bond Street. Working with Leckenby Associates, Victorian Woodworks found flooring solutions for the main retail space as well as a feature spiral staircase.
In order to compliment the classical features of the space Victorian Woodworks used Monarch, a rich burnt oak engineered floor presented in a large-scale chevron pattern.
The challenge of finding a contrasting surface for the spiral staircase treads was solved with Ormer, a thermo-treated oak from The Nautilus Collection. The dark rich hue is evident throughout the depth of the boards ensuring the colour stands up to the high level of traffic in this luxury retail space.
